30 Minute HealZoo HIT Cardio

hit301The HealZoo Journey, 30 Minute HIT (HealZoo Interval Training) Cardio, is primed to take the stubborn fat that you can’t seem to shake, and zap it quickly, and effectively.  This cardio program should only be performed after you’ve established a cardio “base” by which to effectively complete 30 minutes of intense interval training.  A normal 30 minute HealZoo HIT Cardio session can burn as much as 600 calories.

It’s impossible to complete this particular cardio program and NOT be drenched in sweat.  This is exactly what you should aim to do anytime you exercise.

After a 5-minute warm-up, you’ll be doing one minute of high intensity cardio, followed by one minute of low intensity cardio until you’ve reached minute 25, at which point you will do your 5-minute cool-down.

Feel free to “alter” your warm-up and cool-down sessions by reducing them, but NEVER increase your warm-ups and cool-downs more than what’s already recommended.

Your cardio can be performed by running on a treadmill, running outside, walking, on an elliptical, or any other form of aerobic exercise where you’re able to vary your intensity for at least 60 seconds at a time.  In the chart below, you see exactly how you should be performing your 30 minute, HealZoo HIT Cardio.

Cardio Tips

  • Make sure to really push yourself during your one-minute “high” intervals, and don’t just take a break during the rest intervals, keep a normal pace
  • If you want to maximize fat loss, perform your cardio on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning.  Don’t overstress on this point if your unable to perform on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning, just make sure you do your cardio on the day’s you’re supposed to
  • If you’re performing your weight training and cardio during the same session, always perform your cardio AFTER you finish your weight training
  • This cardio program can be applied to running, stationary bikes, elliptical, treadmills, rowing, and other cardiovascular machines and activities
  • To stay motivated, listen to music while you workout.  It also helps if you have a clock in front of you, a timer on your equipment, or a stopwatch that beeps after each minute

    I’m new here but am learning a lot.
    Question: why do weight training after cardio hits/sprints? right now i do after and am willing to try the other way around but imagine it would poop me.

    Please advise. xo

    Reason being is that you want the bulk of your energy to go into doing the weight training portion of the program. When you do cardio first, you burn out your glycogen stores and it makes your weight training much more difficult to complete at an efficient level.

    However, if you do your cardio after your weight training, you’re more likely to tap into your fat stores. The absolute best time to do cardio would be first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and perform your weight training later in the day.

    If I do the cardio on an empty stomach should I take the zooburn before I do the cardio?

    Personally, I like taking the Zooburn before I do my cardio because I like the extra boost it gives me during my session. But it’s equally effective if you take it after.

    I would like to know if it is true that potatoes, even sweet potatoes, will cause a woman to gain weight? I just started the healzoo nutrition plan and implemented one sweet potato a night for dinner. Will I gain weight because of this? Thank you.
